How Are You Spending Your Valentine's Day

In the past month the flu has ransacked my home leaving nothing good in its wake. It started with me, then my daughter got it and now it is my husband’s turn and just in time for Valentines Day…Yay!!! Not! Well needless to say all plans are out of the window, but that’s ok we just avoided all the crowds and jacked up prices, right? So because hubby is out of commission and cant take us out this year, my Brook was my valentine. I must admit that since becoming a parent I feel holidays become just a little more exciting when you have little kiddos to share them with. I love and look forward to all the the little crafts, handmade cards and pictures now, they are so adorable and so much fun.

We spent last evening making her valentines holder box and putting together her class gifts. We made “love bugs” out of red fruit cups and some craft supplies and we couldn't forget about her teacher (I really could not, Brook would not stop reminding me) we gave her one of her favorite things, coffee in a cute little package.

Happy Valentines Day! This morning I made my sick husband and daughter breakfast in bed before we got the day started. I spent part of the day with my little one at her school as I volunteered at the beginning of the year to assist with the class party and lead a class activity (why doesn’t anybody stop me from my crazy ideas). We had a great time but, I take my hat off to teachers, especially teachers of “22” 5 and 6 year old’s, woo! That evening me and my little valentine cooked dinner together for the family but not before a mini V-Day photo shoot.
